Sewing is my default means
of expression/problem solving/therapy/earning... with emphasis on Mama-Sanity-Time.
I love making costumes because I find them to be
a very forgiving way to experiment with patterns and materials, with more room
for fun and less pressure on perfection, while you practice skills that can be
applied to any garment or décor project.
As an Industrial designer specialized in fashion
& textiles with over 20 years professional sewing and pattern making
experience, I have assisted fashion designers, created theater costumes, and
had my own décor sewing business. I have also been a mentor to 1st
time sewists, design students making prototypes, advanced sewers tweaking or
creating their own patterns, and even starting their own product line. Then, when I
couldn't find a cute, soft, comfy costume for my baby in the theme I wanted, I
decided to make it myself and fell in love with baby costume making in the
process.
I am now an out-of-the-box sewing coach for mamas that want to take their creations to the next level, without the frustration and overwhelm of figuring it all out by themselves, so they can show up to the party picture ready in amazing new outfits thy made with ease and joy.

project ideas, along with loving doses of encouragement 😊
