Got Thanksgiving Baby Outfit?

Getting ready for our Thanksgiving celebrations I made this turkey costume for the littlest one of our extended family.

I used a soft and cozy fleece as the main fabric for the body that is really simple to make, then used scraps of colorful fabrics to give this character a fun personality.

How fun are those feet?! They have elastic straps to keep them on place on top of his shoes, they can also be made with non-slip soles for younger babies.

I made the tail feathers double sided and with a little bit of poly stuffing inside, then stitched each on it's middle line to give them volume while still very soft.

Feathers could also be sewn flat as an applique for a quicker version. I actually made a quick cropped version as a sweatshirt for my girl before and she loved it too.

It was just a trial for pictures, and even though our model was a little skeptical at the beginning, we could tell he loved being in this comfy bodysuit, so much then he didn't want to take it off! Don't you love that about toddlers lol

Patterns are now available in the shop for the full body or cropped variation, crawler or walker foot. How fun would it be to have your littlest one to gobble around your family gathering in one of this!

See it in action here and here :)

Happy stitching,

and happy Thanksgiving!
